Employee Engagement at Kennedy Wilson

Speaker SeriesKennedy Wilson’s employee engagement initiatives continue to grow, with an emphasis on learning and development, health & well-being, and promoting diversity and inclusion across our U.S. and European offices. The program is shaped by employee input and organized by our amazing HR teams in the Beverly Hills and London offices.

In the U.S., the team is busy organizing "Lunch and Learns", featuring department heads and members of our leadership team, as well as technical training to promote skill building, and "Wellness Wednesdays" that offer opportunities to learn about wellness topics or take part in wellness activities. This month's calendar featured a nutrition class, a screening of an environmental documentary, and a company hike in the Santa Monica Mountains. Happy Hours on the rooftop and Bingo Night bring everyone together in a fun, relaxed environment after working hours!

In Europe, a recently launched "KWE Talks" series features high-impact professional speakers and a newly launched digital platform, Alaya, will be key to promoting greater staff community engagement. With Alaya, the Europe team is celebrating 31 days of promoting a better urban future and accelerating urban action for a carbon-free world through the month of October with a series of challenges (including going meatless for one week, unplugging devices, and ride sharing) that are driving the team to collectively save 500kg of Co2 in October.

October speakers included the award-winning Polar Explorer, Pen Haddow - Best Global Adventurer (2003) and TIME magazine's Hero of the Environment (2009). Pen's iconic solo trek from Canada to the North Pole (2003), including swimming in parts, has never been repeated and will likely never be repeated due to climate change. The team also participated in a Q&A session with Olympic gold medalist and sustainability advocate, Hannah Mills, OBE - the most successful sailor in Olympic history!
