Who has been a big source of inspiration in your life?
My mom. She has this amazing energy… it’s quite impressive because she doesn’t even drink coffee! She’s always been really supportive and enthusiastic, and generally has a positive perspective on things.
What is a valuable lesson you’ve learned over this past year?
I feel more fortunate to be active and participate in various activities. I was down with a knee injury and now I really feel lucky being able to move around – whether it’s a hike, walking the dog, skiing, biking. Fresh air and movement are good for the soul.
If you had an extra two hours of free time each day how would you choose to spend that time, and why?
I would probably split my time between 1) extra sleep because I’m a better version of myself when I’m rested and 2) learning more German since I’ve been telling my husband I would… eventually…
What advice would you give to a younger person interested in your role at Kennedy Wilson?
My advice would be to remain open to learning new things. Asset management definitely keeps me on my toes with new challenges. KW is full of people who are great resources and I’ve picked up a lot of skills by learning from colleagues over the years.
Was there an extracurricular you excelled at when you were growing up? Are you still doing that activity today?
I was a big fan of arts and crafts, does that count as an extracurricular? I loved working with paints and glitter. I still get up to crafty things every now and again, but more in the form of a DIY project.
